Ekkohaus, aka Kostas Tassopoulos, is certainly someone to watch out in the London growing dance scene.

Ever since Kostas can remember himself, he was involved in music. First he took piano lessons and later studied vibraphone, marimba and drums. All this was about to change when some friends took him to a rave. The next day he bought a drum machine, a cheap synthesizer and started his voyage through electronic music.

In 2002 he moved to London, willing to concentrate more on his production output and take it further on. There, he tried to mix with every culture, music genre and form of art known to mankind.

Fascinated and inspired by artists like Mathew Herbert, Akufen, Dan Bell, Richie Hawtin, Zip and more recent talents like Mathew Dear, Luciano and Cabanne, Ekkohaus started elaborating his own sound, which can nowadays be described as deep, dark, wobbly, funky, quirky and mind-challenging, also characterized by percussive explosions and edgy frequencies, particularly effective to the body.

In 2005, Ekkohaus released his debut EP, Denz Musik, under Boxer Sport’s sublabel, Kickboxer. In 2006 he contributed with a track each on Multivitamins’ MV01 and MV02 EP. On the latter one his Daredevil received great feed-back and exposure by djs like Craig Richards, ……., ……. Currently, along with bringing on his solo project, he is also producing as Miso Miso, with his friend Seize (Sushitech , Circus Company), working on a more improvised and free-minded approach to electronic music performing.
