Después de haber sido uno de los ganadores en el concurso con su remix del tema de Gabriel Ananda ‘Ihre persönliche Glücksmelodie‘ para el prestigioso sello Karmarouge y habiendo editado su ‘Asuntos Internos E.p’ con el Net Label Neovinil, The Machinist continua en el estudio trabajando en su Live Act y en nuevas producciones.

Para hacer la introducción al universo sonoro de The Machinist y lo que nos presenta en su ‘Mas Tarde que Temprano E.p‘ vamos a hacer referencias a las propias palabras casi literales de su autor enumeradas de la siguiente forma…

‘En mi forma de producir construyo bases rítmicas marcadas de pegada contundente acompañadas de líneas de grave que arropen y moldeen el baile’. ‘Mi sonido tiene su esencia en el minimal menos acomodaticio y una influencia atmosférica que proviene de mi admiración por el trance tanto en las melodías más sinuosas o oscuras como en las que marcan mas groove’. ‘Las voces que empleo son de tonos graves aportando personalidad y dinamismo a la composición’ ‘La esquizofrenia juega un papel fundamental. ¿Quién mejor para hablar de sus criaturas que su propio creador?…Este E.p tiene como guinda la reinterpretación de ‘Canela en Rama’ que hacen los efervescentes y cada vez más solicitados James Road & Xar-Lee Funk de Sirus Pandi.

Our 21st release is signed by The machinist, showing with this E.p how well greased up are the gears of his engine. After being one of the winners of the Karmarouge label competition with his remix of Gabriel’s Ananda Tune ‘Ihre personliche Glucksmelodie’, the Machinist continues in his studio working in his live act and new productions.

To introduce the reader to the sound universe of The Machinist and what he gives us in his ‘Mas Tarde que Temprano E.p’ we are gonna make reference to the artist’ own words:

‘the way i produce is to build rithmic bases with a very strong push together with low-tone lines that cover and drive the dance. ‘My sound has its essence in the less adaptable minimal with an atmospheric influence that comes from the admiration that i have for trance music, both in the most devious or dark melodies as well as the more ‘groove’ ones The vocals i use are of a low-toned, they add personality and dinamism to the composition’. ‘The idea of Schizophrenia plays a basic role in my work. I go to the deepest hidden corners of the dancing minds with melodies taken from the background music of psychiatric hospitals where the interns are released from their straight jackets so they can do as they like All this improved with lots of swing, as if a band of charleston from the thirties would have come back alive in a modern dance stage’

Who would be best to talk about his own creatures than the creator? This E.p has as an extra bonus the reintrepretation of ‘ Canela en Rama’ made by the upcoming stars James Road & Xar – Lee funk of Sirus Pandi.
